Volunteering is giving from the heart

I love doing volunteer work as it is a means of giving from my heart to others. It is not just about going and filling up hours or completing some form of work...it is about sharing from your heart with others. It takes on various forms of becoming real with the different opportunities that come about to do this. It is giving that someone elses life may be helped, touched and bettered in some way. It is about making this a better world to live in by what you do and say for others. It is my hope that by having done volunteer work that I have touched another individual in some way...perhaps a way that was not intended but was needed. I want to think that by those things I give time in doing that it makes the community....the world a better place to live in. It makes for a stronger community that can see others caring about the same things and that by coming together and working together that a difference can be made no matter what area it is in. It isn't for recognition of self but recognition of what is important and has value. It is about what makes things better for others or helps to change things that affect others.
